    Professional Engagement and Improvement Lead

    About the role

    As a Professional Engagement & Improvement Lead, you will deliver the local and national professional engagement plan to Macmillan Professionals, the wider workforce, and partners. This includes identifying, leading on and supporting quality improvement activities, healthcare professional and partner relationship management and networking/forum activities to optimise outcomes and experiences for people with cancer.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the Strategic Engagement & Improvement Manager and other members of the team to help develop, shape and successfully lead and deliver the local and national Professional Engagement Plan.
    • Deliver the agreed engagement plan to Macmillan Professionals and the wider workforce that encourages them to become engaged champions and change makers for Macmillan.
    • Champion, identify and deliver Quality Improvement and networking opportunities within partner organisations.
    • Contribute to the evidence that demonstrates the difference that our workforce offer has on the outcomes for people living with cancer.
    • Maintain and develop strong meaningful local relationships with professionals and partner organisations with a particular focus on defined senior stakeholders.
    • Ensure that Macmillan Professionals feel supported and valued; that they have access to relevant support and resources, learning and development, networking opportunities and that they understand Macmillan’s key messages, values, behaviours, and strategic intentions.

    About you

    This role requires candidates to have proven experience in quality improvement and stakeholder engagement.

    The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

    • Experience of quality cycles and continuous improvement
    • Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative stakeholder relationships, particularly with senior external stakeholders
    • Experience of facilitating improvements in professional practice or service delivery
    • Experience or knowledge of the healthcare system and processes (desirable but not essential)
    • Experience of presenting to and leading groups
    • Excellent IT skills and ability to use a variety of systems
    • Data analysis and report writing skills
    • Full UK driving licence or ability to travel for work

    Contract type: Permanent 

    Full time: 34.5 hours, we are open to a conversation about how you work these hours

    Location: Mobile Worker (extensive travel required mainly across the West Midlands and occasional travel elsewhere)

    Salary Range: £43,000 - £48,000 + car allowance
