The post-holder will contribute to the teaching and development of the curriculum in the Human Resources Management, Leadership, and/or Management subject areas, including supporting partner stakeholders, and to make a significant contribution to programme management and development. The post holder will be expected to support our successful Two Year Masters programmes (Project/Placement year), as well as undertake research in their respective discipline and to contribute where appropriate to the Business School’s enterprise activities. Candidates will hold a Doctorate and Masters level qualification and have experience of teaching in the Higher Education sector. Candidates with commercial, industrial or research experience or with professional qualifications (e.g. CIM or DMI) are also welcome.
The successful postholder will be committed to using strategies that prioritise student success and have a proven ability to support students both pastorally and in their learning. We are interested in applications from those who have experience in, or a passion for, Human Resources Management, Leadership, and/or Management in their specialist fields. The postholder will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, learning, and assessment, as well as contributing to our research ambitions as a Department and School. Applicant information
- You will need be a Registered Adult Nurse on the NMC register, educated at least to degree level. Experience and a teaching qualification, such as a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education or Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) is desirable. You will have a high level of clinical competence and credibility in a relevant area of expertise.
- The faculty will support new members of staff to gain appropriate qualifications and is keen to support ongoing academic and professional development. We also offer a robust mentorship programme for new academic staff.
- The faculty has three education centres: Warrington Campus; Marris House Birkenhead, and Wheeler Campus, Chester, with an expectation of some travel between sites, but the successful applicant would predominantly be based at Chester.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our professional Finance Department based on the Exton Park campus in Chester city centre. In this role, you will focus on the effective financial reporting and controls.
You will
- Lead financial accounting, and year end processes at the University
- Oversee the year end close down of accounts and lead the preparation of the University Financial Statements and Annual Report
- Lead and manage the preparation and submission of a range of external reporting to regulators and statutory bodies
- Provide effective financial controls including regular balance sheet account and process reviews
