    Manufacturing Trainer

    Job Purpose and Impact

     Location: Wolverhampton (UK) WV9 5EU – The role is a permanent days based position Monday-Friday based in a factory  

    Cargill’s European protein business is a leading supplier and innovator of further processed chicken products for retail, food service and food manufacturing customers. The role is based in our Wolverhampton Factory which is a state of the art further processing facility for a leading global Quick Service Restaurant customer. 

    The Trainer , will implement and maintain Health and Safety training, Including Manual handling Risk Assessments, Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory programs,site Critical Control Point training and assessingmaking sure they align to Cargill corporate as well as regulatory requirements. In this role, you will assess existing training programs, design and implement new training programs to enhance employee skills.  

    Key Accountabilities

    • Translate, implement and deliver our environmental health and safety training strategy following established Cargill procedures and local regulatory requirements, including support to develop new digital and site local training plans.  
    • Support environmental health and safety data management system to continuously improve employee awareness, track training completion rates and analyse safety indicators.
    • Handle environmental, health and safety related records and reporting to ensure the system compliance with certification requirements.  
    • Contribute innovative ideas to promote environmental health and safety activity planning and collaborate to guide site teams on new corporate programs or procedures. 
    • Provide technical, regulatory and behavioural knowledge and consultation to build a strong environmental, health and safety culture.  
    • Other duties as assigned 

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.  
    • In-depth knowledge of environmental health and safety  – ideally IOSH or Level 3 Health and Safety
    • Food safety/ HACCP qualifications 
    • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications

    Buyer (Direct Procurement)

    Job Purpose and Impact

    The Buyer will be responsible for the end-to-end management and execution of sourcing activities within CBI UK & EMEA, with a primary focus on Packaging and Oleochemicals. This role will primarily support factories located in Hull (UK), Gouda (NL), and Tampere (FI).
    In this position, you will manage complex procurement processes within CBI and contribute to cross-business, regional, and global category strategies. You will also influence stakeholders within the job area by clearly explaining facts, policies, and practices. Additionally, you will build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with overall category and sourcing objectives.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Builds and applies a comprehensive understanding of regional spend, stakeholder landscape, and the procurement landscape.
    • Executes medium and highly complex regional sourcing decisions and events.
    • Drives the implementation of regional sourcing decisions and provide support with the implementation of global sourcing decisions.
    • Ensures business continuity by proactively mitigating supply and supplier risks.
    • Demonstrates a medium/high level understanding of Source-to-Contract processes, including—but not limited to—sourcing execution, contract management excellence, procurement, market / spend data analysis, negotiations, procurement tools/systems, and Supplier Relationship/Partnership Management.
    • Provide inputs to the global category team for category strategy development and execution (where needed).
    • Manages ongoing regional supplier and stakeholder relationships, for the long term, to deliver value across various areas whilst complying with regulatory requirements (e.g., innovation, sustainability).

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of two years procurement experience.
    • Practice knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Power Point).
    • Fluent English.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in Source to Contract activities.
    • Relevant market experience.
    • SAP Ariba practice knowledge.
