    Chef de Partie

    Job Description

    We are seeking a talented and innovative Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Southampton, United Kingdom. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and presentation while contributing to the development of our menu offerings.

    • Assist in the creation and execution of menu items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events
    • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new and innovative culinary concepts
    • Manage food inventory and storage in coordination with the Head Chef
    • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP regulations
    • Contribute to cost control efforts and process optimization in the kitchen
    • Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
    • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff members
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
    • Assist in menu planning and food presentation for banquets and special events
    • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss menu improvements and operational efficiency

    Qualifications

    • Completed culinary education or equivalent professional training
    • Strong knowledge of various culinary techniques and food preparation methods
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated creativity in menu design and interest in innovative culinary concepts
    • Strong teamwork and communication skills
    • Proficiency in food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP regulations
    • Experience in inventory management and cost control (preferred)
    • Leadership experience or potential to guide junior kitchen staff
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
    • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
    • Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
