Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health Manager to shape the future of our in-house Occupational Health service at Nestlé UK & Ireland. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a dedicated team to deliver a high-quality, efficient, and proactive health service that supports our people across all sites.
As part of our Workplace & Wellbeing team, you’ll provide strategic leadership, clinical expertise, and operational excellence to ensure our Occupational Health provision meets the evolving needs of the business.
A day in the life of Occupational Health Manager
No two days are the same in Occupational Health, You will;
- Lead and develop the Occupational Health team, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and capability to deliver exceptional service.
- Coach and advise managers and teams on health-related legal requirements, risk assessment, and case management.
- Provide clinical expertise to ensure our programmes deliver the best possible outcomes for employees.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the Nestlé UK & Ireland wider organisation to drive continuous improvement.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Educating managers and employees on health risks (work-related and non-work-related).
- Using analytics to identify trends, interpret results, and support corrective actions.
- Supporting line managers in fitness-for-task and return-to-work assessments, including work modifications.
- Supporting health surveillance programmes and ensuring compliance with governance and audit.
What Will Make You Successful
You’ll be a qualified Occupational Health practitioner with broad experience in the field and a passion for driving health and wellbeing initiatives. You’ll bring:
- SCPHN qualification and strong clinical expertise.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience influencing behavioural change and embedding forward-thinking OH strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
Additional desirable experience:
- Leading in a matrix organisation for 3–5 years and maintaining SEQOHS accreditation.
- Building OH systems and using analytics to identify trends and develop data-driven solutions.
- Working cross-functionally and managing complex stakeholder relationships
